I grew up being very active in youth sports such as basketball and soccer. I played NCAA Division I Soccer at University of Hartford and eventually in a Semi-Professional Women's Soccer League in Colorado.
I taught Special Education for eight years at the Middle School level, coached elite competitive soccer teams as well as JV and Varsity Girls Soccer. At one point I created and ran a Youth Soccer Academy as well.
I didn't find CrossFit until I was 40 years old and a mother of a 10 year old special needs boy. CrossFit soon became a great outlet for me both mentally and physically. It has allowed me to gain physical strength in order to lift and carry my son who is immobile.
I quickly got my CrossFit Coaching certificates to coach adults and youth. I absolutely love to help and serve others!!! CrossFit has had such a positive impact on my life and I love that I can pass it on to others!

I grew up playing any sport I could get my hands on and making any and everything else into a sport. I joined my first CrossFit box the year after I graduated High School and have never looked back! Over the past 7 years, I've taught group fitness classes and yoga; coached boys and girls middle school basketball; and remained an active participant in CrossFit, running, and recreational sports leagues.
My career as a speach-language pathologist has coupled with my lifelong love for fitness to shape me into the coach, trainer, and leader I am today. Health and sucess for everyone is my primary goal. I believe that scaling movements to an athletel's current needs is critical to ensuring safety and success while fostering an environment that promotes self-confidence and self-actualization.

I was born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska. Growing up, I played any and all sports that I could. I spent the long summer days playing football, hockey, and basketball in the cul-de-sac that I lived on. Early on however, I discovered my main passion was for soccer. I played on competitive and travel soccer teams as a youth and played all the way through high school and then on adult league teams. To strengthen my fitness, I also participated in track, cross-country running, and spent lots of time in the gym lifting weights.
I joined CrossFit Anchorage in 2022 as a way to get back in shape so that I could keep up with my then 5-year old son. It didn’t take long to rediscover my passion for fitness and the CrossFit methodology. The constantly varied movements keep me coming back excited each day and I look forward to pushing myself to see what I am capable of.
I wanted to become a CrossFit coach so that I could help others experience all the benefits that CrossFit has to offer. The physical conditioning, mental strength, and sense community that CrossFit promotes all inspired me to pursue coaching. I believe it’s important to have a healthy, and active lifestyle. Helping others achieve those goals and cheering them on along the way gives me a tremendous sense of accomplishment.

Being active is a lifelong commitment of mine. I grew up in Baltimore practicing Tae Kwon Do and competing in volleyball, lacrosse, tennis, and basketball. As an adult, I joined leagues for beach volleyball and tennis. It wasn’t until I was in my 30’s that I discovered a love of running that resulted in completing several 5Ks and half marathons and one full. I found Crossfit when I moved back to Alaska (for a second time!) and never looked back.
Outside of the gym, I am a scientist and mother with a passion for learning and teaching. I have 8 years of higher education teaching experience and have a love for sharing what I’ve learned and mentoring others. I’ve coached my daughters’ youth soccer team and now support my girls in their competitive gymnastics journey. I was motivated to become a CrossFit coach to learn more, share what I’ve learned, and give back to the community that has supported me so much. The physical challenges of CrossFit and the incredible community that is built around it, keeps me inspired.
